Cutting apparatus for the longitudinal cutting of plane web materials, especially film materials, a shearing platelet (3) seated on a mounting (4) being arranged above and a shearing platelet (2) seated on a mounting (5) being arranged below the material to be cut, and the mutually parallel cutters of the shearing platelets (3, 2) touching one another in the cutting region with pre-tension, characterized in that at least one mounting (5) is arranged pivotal on a shaft (13), and in that the cutter of the pivotally arranged shearing platelet (2) is eccentric to the axis of the shaft (13).
