1. A fire protection closure for closing off a wall of ceiling opening in a conveyor system which exhibits means of conveyance leading through the wall or ceiling opening, in particular a conveyor rail (10, 11), having a flat housing (1) which exhibits an opening (4) for the conveyor system corresponding with the wall or ceiling opening and in which in sideguides a slider (5) of fire-resistant material is held for closing off the opening, the said slider exhibiting on the edge (14) of it lying at the front in the closing direction two panels projecting beyong the bottom edge (14) of the slider and running in parallel with the plane of the slider at a distance apart, and having means (6, 7) of closing the slider in case of fire, characterized in that the panels are formed by metal sheets (12, 13) which in the closed state butt against a closing edge (15) of the opening (4) in the housing, and that between the metal sheets (12, 13) material (16) is arranged, which foams under heat and fills the space between the metal sheets (12, 13) to become fire-resistant.

In dem Gehäuse (1) ist ein Schieber (5) zum Verschließen des Durchbruchs (3) aus feuerwiderstandsfähigem Material in seitlichen Führungen gehalten. Es sind Mittel (6, 7) zum Verschließen des Schiebers (5) im Brandfall vorgesehen. Der Schieber (5) weist auf seiner in Schließrichtung vorn liegenden Kante (14) zwei im geschlossenen Zustand gegen die Schließkante (5) des Durchbruchs (3) in dem Gehäuse (1) stoßende, im wesentlichen parallel zur Ebene des Schiebers (5) und im Abstand zueinander verlaufende, über die untere Kante (14) des Schiebers (5) vorspringende Bleche (12, 13) sowie zwischen den Blechen angeordnetes Material (16) auf, das bei Hitze aufschäumt und den Raum zwischen den Blechen (12, 13) feuerhemmend füllt. Die Bleche (12, 13) lassen sich in einfacher und vorteilhafter Weise an komplizierte Konturen der durch den Durchbruch hindurchgehenden Fördermittel (10, 11) anpassen, und sie begrenzen dicht den Raum, in dem das Material (16, 17) bei Hitze aufschäumt. Die Bleche (12, 13) ermöglichen auch eine Unterbrechung der Förderschiene (10, 11) durch einen engen Spalt (25, 26) in den die Bleche (12, 13) im Schließfall eintreten.
