Device for fixing th lowermost blanket of a two-layer blanket (1, 2) on the outer surface of a blanket cylinder (3) in printing presses, wherein the upper blanket (2) essentially covers the device for the lower blanket (1) and extends across the length of the blanket cylinder (3), particularly for sheet printing presses, characterized in that the device is constructed from two paper tensioning bars (5, 6) rotatably connected with one another via hinges (4), that the paper tensioning bars (5, 6) can be pressed together by means of at least two bows of clamping springs (7) rotatably fixed to on paper clamping bar (5), and that the paper clamping bars (5, 6) are held easily releasable by means of at least two self-locking bearer ties (8) which are fixed to the blanket cylinder (3).
