A prefabricated shuttering element for the construction of reinforced concrete ceilings, with a building panel, which is flat on the room side, is provided with reinforcement and which serves as a permanent shuttering, and with steel lattice supports as the principal reinforcement above the building panel which is supported by retaining means secured to it and provided with an angular or round base and an undercut head part, characterised in that the retaining means are mushroom-shaped anchors (1, 15) connected in force-locking manner with the building panel (4, 14, 14'), wherein the longitudinal or tension rods (8, 18) of the reinforcement supports (7, 19) engage under the heads (6, 20) of the mushroom-shaped anchors or engage in recesses (5, 17) formed in the anchors so as to provide a self-supporting shuttering element which after being installed can be concreted without supports.
