Device for fixing a diode (10) in a pushbutton housing (1, 2) with simultaneous electrical connection of the diode (10) to terminals (13), which are anchored in the pushbutton housing (1, 2) and extended out of it, the diode (10) having on both sides of a diode body (9) wire tails (12) extending out of the diode body (9) and on a common axis, and there being reception slots in the pushbutton housing (1, 2), open on one side, in which the wire tails (12) of the diode (10) are held, by the action of a pushbutton housing part (2) on the diode body (9), characterized in that the reception slots (15), each bounded on one side by a pushbutton housing pall portion (6) and on the other side merely by in each case one of the pin-shaped terminals (13), are made of smaller dimension than the diameter of the wire tails (12), that the pin-shaped terminals (13) have free ends (16) at the open end of the reception slots (15), and that the pusbutton housing wall portions (6) at the open end of the reception slots (15) each have a bevel (17) which broadens the reception slot (15), in the region of the free end (16) of the terminal (13), for insertion without force of the wire tails (12) of the diode (10) between the free ends (16) of the terminals (13) and the bevels (17).
