Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0164771A1] The tube has an evacuated envelope with an image window, a conical section and a neck in which an electron beam generator (5) is located. The generated beam is directed onto an image screen on the inside face of the image window in the form of a spot deflected across the screen in two orthogonal directions. Four ferromagnetic plates (27--30) extending in the beam deflection directions are grouped around the electron beam, fixed at equal distances from the electron beam generator (5). Pref. the opposite ends of at least two of the plates have additional attached ferromagnetic plates extending perpendicular to the imaged field.
