[origin: EP0165453A2] A connector (1) is provided for connecting an equipment plug, a line socket and an additional equipment to a base plate (3). The base plate (3) has plug openings (54,55;62,63) which protrude into the plug contacts of a first component and in which a further contact part (19,20) is held by a contact point. The contact part (19, 20) can be conductively connected to a second component. The contact part (19,20) has a second contact point which is at a distance from the first contact point. The contact points can optionally be covered and insulated by movement of a slide (50) which can be moved on the contact part (19,20). In consequence, the connector (1) has two contact points which are arranged offset by 180 DEG with respect to each other so that it can be connected to different electrical components which likewise have contacts offset by 180 DEG . <IMAGE>
