[origin: EP0165467A2] Control valve which is constructed from individual function modules according to the building block system. A central function module contains a thermostatic regulating valve (48), and a valve opening (20) and an installation opening (24) arranged coaxially therewith for a second function unit, in particular a safety pilot valve (36). Further modules, e.g. a pressure regulator (62), a main gas throttle (90) or a filter, can be built onto the central function module (double module) according to requirements. The individual modules are interconnected by fastening means (80, 84) which are accessible radially from the circumference of the module housings (10, 64). As a result, the assembly and the disassembly of the modules, even in conditions of confined space, can be made easier and the requirement for installation space for the valve in the heating device reduced.
