[origin: WO8403576A1] The invention relates to the application of video technologies and flat-faced screens to individual communication and to professional display carrying media (private, public and advertising display panels, signs). The application comprises the replacement of the traditional carrying medium (display panel, sign-board) by a video screen or receiver, more or less flat, according to the technological possibilities, supplied with messages by an appropriate reader and a timer which are integrated. The video screens may be grouped into collective systems connected to a central control unit which supplies them with messages by a material link (telephone cable, coaxial cable, optical cable, etc...) or by hertzian waves. The application is particularly intended to individual communication (signs, panels) and to professional communication (advertising display networks and panels).

Application des technologies vidéo et des écrans plats à la communication individuelle et aux supports médias d'affichage professionnels (enseignes, panneaux d'affichages privés, publics et publicitaires). L'application consiste à remplacer le support traditionnel (panneau d'affichage, enseigne) par un écran ou récepteur vidéo, plus ou moins plat, selon les possibilités de la technique, alimenté en message par un lecteur approprié et un dispositif horaire intégrés. Les écrans vidéo peuvent être regroupés en systèmes collectifs et reliés à une unité centrale de commande, qui les alimente en messages, par un lien matériel (câble téléphonique, coaxial, optique, etc...) ou par ondes hertziennes. L'application est particulièrement destinée à la communication individuelle (enseignes, panneaux) et professionelle (panneaux et réseaux d'affichage publicitaires).
