The device essentially comprises a movable table (16) intended for supporting the end section of the reserve web (26) provided with an adhesive element (27), and a movable arm (31) controlled by a hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder (35), designed to press, via a pressing roller (33), the web (28) of packaging material from a spool in effect operating against the adhesive element (27). A cutting member (42), which interacts with a die (27) which is provided with an opening (43) for the removal of waste, makes it possible for the web (28) to be cut upstream of the assembly zone for the two webs. <IMAGE>

Le dispositif comporte essentiellement une table mobile (16) destinée à supporter le tronçon d'extrémité de la bande de réserve (26) munie d'un élément collant (27) et un bras mobile (31) commandé par un vérin hydraulique ou pneumatique (35), conçu pour appuyer, par l'intermédiaire d'un rouleau presseur (33) la bande (28) de matériau d'emballage provenant d'une bobine effectivement en fonction contre l'élément collant (27). Un organe de coupe (42) qui coopère avec une matrice (27) pourvue d'une ouverture (43) pour l'évacuation des déchets, permet de couper la bande (28) en amont de la zone d'assemblage des deux bandes.
