[origin: WO8504143A1] The sail-board comprises a center-board contained in a housing and which may be pivoted by the foot of the user from the upper face of the sail-board. In order to provide a simple and inexpensive actuation device for the center-board and which practically prevents any possibility of injury, the center-baord (5, 25) is provided with a pawl (17, 18, 30) which may be inserted into one of the ratchet recesses (19, 31, 32, 33) provided on or in the housing (1, 20) of the center-board. The pawl (17, 18, 19, 30) is carried by a slide (9, 27) wich may be radially displaced in the center-board with respect to the axis thereof (4, 24). The outer end of the slide is provided with an actuation member and a spring holds its ratchet position. When the center-board occupies a middle position, the slide is approximately perpendicular to the surface of the sail-board.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Segelbrett mit einem in einem Schwertkasten schwenkbar gelagerten Schwert, das von der Oberseite des Segelbretts aus z.B. durch Fußbetätigung verstellbar ist. Um für das Schwert eine einfache und billig herstellbare Verstellmöglichkeit zu schaffen, die eine Verletzungsmöglichkeit des Benutzers praktisch ausschaltet, ist vorgesehen, daß das Schwert (5, 25) ein Rastglied (17, 18, 30) besitzt, daß auf, im oder am Schwertkasten (1, 20) eine Reihe von Rastausnehmungen (19, 31, 32, 33) vorgesehen ist, in eine von diesen das Rastglied wahlweise einbringbar ist, daß das Rastglied (17, 18, 30) von einem Schiebar (9, 27) getragen wird, der im Schwert zu dessen Schwenkachse (4, 24) radial verschiebbar gelagert und zur Sicherung der Verrastung federbelastet ist und der so angeordnet ist, daß er in der mittleren Schwenklage des Schwertes wenigstens annähernd rechtwinkelig zur Oberseite des Segelbretts liegt, und daß der Schieber an seinem äußeren Ende ein Betätigungselement aufweist.
