Method of setting and displaying the switching times of a digital time switch comprising a display unit with display elements arranged in a line for graphically indicating the duration of each switching condition, e. g. "NORMAL", "REDUCED", "OFF" by a stretch of switched-on or switched-off display elements on a display unit, with the beginning and the end of a stretch representing switching points, the stretch being differently marked depending on the switching condition, e. g. "NORMAL", "REDUCED", "OFF", characterised in that, in order to change a set switching condition, e. g. "NORMAL", a cursor is set to the beginning or the end of the stretch for said switching condition by actuating a switching member, e. g. a key (14, 15), and in that said cursor is moved on said line until a segment is reached corresponding to a desired time.
