A connecting device for a ribbon cable having a dielectric body (1) and a stress-relieving clip (7) has a first lateral channel (5) for making contact, and a second lateral channel (10) for stress relieving the ribbon cable. In addition, a longitudinal channel (11) diverging from the second lateral channel (10) is provided to improve the stress relief and to lead the cable out of the connecting device in the connection direction. The longitudinal channel (11) also holds the free end (6b) of the cable to protect the conductor ends from being touched. <IMAGE>

Eine Anschlußvorrichtung für ein Bandkabel mit einem Isolierstoffkörper (1) und einem Zugentlastungs-Bügel (7) besitzt einen ersten Querkanal (5) zur Kontaktierung und einen zweiten Querkanal (10) zur Zugentlastung des Bandkabes. Außerdem ist ein vom zweiten Querkanal (10) abzweigender Längskanal (11) vorgesehen, um die Zugentlastung zu verbessern und das Kabel in Steckrichtung aus der Anschlußvorrichtung herauszuführen. Der Längskanal (11) nimmt auch das freie Kabelende (6b) auf, um die Leiterenden gegen Berührung zu schützen.
