Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0168060A2] 1. Stackable pallet, in particular for heavy loads, with an upper horizontal frame which is rectangular in plan form, four corner posts (1a, 1b, 1c, 1d), a pallet bottom (43) and two lower stiffening struts (3a, 3b) connecting in each case two corner posts in pairs, characterised by the following features : - the upper horizontal frame is formed by two longitudinal tubes (2a, 2b) and two cross tubes (6a, 6b) and is closed at all sides ; - the corner posts (1a, 1b, 1c, 1d) are arranged in the four corners of a rectangle having the longitudinal dimension X measured from outer edge to outer edge of two corner posts (1a, 1b) ; - the longitudinal tubes of the frame rest on two corner posts in each case ; - the cross tubes of the frame lie outside of the rectangle formed by the corner posts, the distance Y of the opposed inner edges of the cross tubes of the frame being larger than the longitudinal dimension X by a small tolerance rate (2 x DELTA1 ) ; - there is provided a troughlike receiving body (40) having a U-shaped cross section for the freight, this receiving body being open at the top and towards the longitudinal sides of the pallet and having a horizontal section (43) forming the bottom of the pallet, the receiving body being limited by vertical sections (42) at the transverse sides of the pallet ; - the maximum dimension of the receiving body in the longitudinal direction of the pallet is smaller than the distance Y of the opposed inner edges of the cross tubes of the frame by a small tolerance rate (2 x DELTA2 ) ; - the receiving body is dimensioned in such a manner that at the longitudinal sides there remains a space (41) relative to the longitudinal tubes of the frame of at least the width of a corner post ; - the receiving body is connected only at the upper ends of the vertical sections to the cross tubes of the frame.
