A hinge bracket (2) for a furniture hinge or the like, which bracket is U-shaped in cross-section and has side walls (11, 12) which are constituted by the legs and are longitudinally slidably guided on a profiled track (3 to 5) formed on a baseplate (1), which is adapted to be secured to a carrying wall, which bracket is adapted to be clamped against the baseplate by a fixing screw (8), which is adapted to be screwed into the profiled track (3 to 5), characterized in that two guiding lugs (13, 14) are angled inwardly from the side walls (11, 12) of the hinge bracket (2) and have confronting end faces which are spaced apart by a distance that corresponds to the width of the profiled track (3 to 5), an intermediate plate (21) which is U-shaped in cross-section is adapted to be selectively secured by the fixing screw (26) to the profiled track (3 to 5), said intermediate plate (21) has a central web (22) that is formed with a longitudinally extending fixing slot (25), guide grooves (28) at least for the angled lugs (13) leading in the direction of insertion are provided on opposite sides of the profiled track (3 to 5) and of the base plate (1) between the end edges of the side walls (23, 24) of the intermediate plate (21) and the baseplate (1), and the intermediate plate (21) is provided with stops (29), which define the end position of the slidably fitted hinge bracket (2), and with self-cocking snap-action means (32) for locking the hinge bracket (2) on the intermediate plate (21).
