[origin: US4603652A] This invention relates to a device for fastening a flag on a staff via a sleeve coaxial to the staff mounted to rotate freely on the staff, the device comprising a rod having two ends, a first end being connected to the sleeve so that the rod extends, at least partially, in a plane substantially transverse to the sleeve, the second end of the rod being remote from the sleeve and connected to the flag, whereby the torque exerted by the flag on the sleeve under the effect of the wind and/or of the weight of the flag is increased.

Ce dispositif d'accrochage d'un drapeau (1) sur un mât (2), par l'intermédiaire d'un manchon (3) coaxial au mât (2) monté en rotation libre sur le mât, comporte une baguette (10) ayant deux extrémités, une première extrémité étant liée au manchon (3) de manière que la baguette (10) s'étende, au moins partiellement, dans un plan sensiblement transversal au manchon (3), la seconde extrémité de la baguette (10) étant éloignée du manchon (3) et liée au drapeau (1), moyennant quoi le couple exercé par le drapeau (1) sur le manchon (3) sous l'effet du vent et/ou du poids du drapeau est augmenté.
