The apparatus comprises, on the one hand, a receptacle (1) containing grinding elements and traversed by a stream of a pulp of the product to be ground and, on the other hand, an agitator (5) arranged inside the said receptacle and intended to impart movement to the said grinding elements. According to the invention, this grinding apparatus is characterised in that the said agitator (5) has the shape of a body of revolution, the outer wall (6) of which defines, with the inner wall (2) of the said receptacle (1), a peripheral annular grinding chamber (17), the volume of which increases in the direction in which the said pulp flows. <IMAGE>

Appareil de broyage en phase humide comportant, d'une part, un récipient (1) contenant des éléments de broyage et traversé par un courant d'une bouillie du produit à broyer et, d'autre part, un agitateur (5) disposé à l'intérieur dudit récipient et destiné à mettre lesdits éléments de broyage en mouvement. Selon l'invention, cet appareil de broyage est caractérisé en ce que ledit agitateur (5) présente la forme d'un corps de révolution dont la paroi extérieure (6) délimite avec la paroi intérieure (2) dudit récipient (1) une chambre de broyage annulaire périphérique (17) dont le volume croît dans le sens de l'écoulement de ladite bouillie.
