1. A missile for practice ammunition with a least approximate departure and external ballistics corresponding to a live missile and a predetermined range limit, a cavity (5), which has a pyrotechnic composition (6) and which partly (13) melts through the missile body in one area after a predetermined flight period, being provided in the missile body, characterized in that the area of the surface of the missile (1) to be melted through is arranged asymmetrically with respect to the axis of the missile (1) in order to destabilized and limit the trajectory of the missile.

Bei der Ausbildung und Übung mit Munition stellt sich besonders in engen territorialen Verhältnissen das Problem der Schussfeldbegrenzung. Durch die Verwendung eines pyrotechnischen Satzes, bevorzugterweise eines Leuchtspursatzes (6), kann der Geschosskörper nach einer vorbestimmten Flugdistanz partiell durchschmolzen und damit in seinem Flug in einfacher Weise begrenzt werden. Dazu wird der pyrotechnische Satz in eine mit einer seitlichen Öffnung (9) versehene Isolationshülse (8) eingebaut, wodurch der partielle Durchschmelzvorgang vorgegebenwird. Derartige Geschosse finden sowohl als Kleinkaliberübungsmunition als auch für grösserkalibrige Munition, z. B. Raketen im Unter- oder Überschallbereich, Verwendung.
