1. Fastening device for the steps (1, 21), which are equipped with two drag rollers (2) supported on a running rail (5), of an escalator at a respective endless transport chain (10), arranged laterally beside the steps (1, 21) and supported through chain rollers (3) on a guide rail (6), for the formation of an endless escalator band (14) consisting of a forward run (14.1) and a return run (14.2) each with horizontal (14.3, 14.5) and with inclined (14.4) running tracks provided with transition arcs, characterised thereby, that an elastic joint (4), prasses the drag rollers (2) of the step (1, 21) against the running rail (5) at least in the region of the inclined forward run (14.1) end the transition arcs adjoining thereat, is arranged between the body of the steps (1, 21) and a carrier element (11) arranged at the transport chain (10).

Diese Vorrichtung dient dazu, die Stufen (1) einer Fahrtreppe an den auf beiden Seiten der Stufen (1) angeordneten Transportketten derart zu befestigen, dass in bestimmten Fahrbereichen ein Drehmoment auf die Stufe (1) ausgeübt wird. Dies wird durch ein zwischen dem Seitenschild (1.3) der Stufe (1) und einem an den Laschen oder Gliedern der Transportkette befestigten Support eingebautes elastisches Gelenk (4) erreicht. Die Schlepprolle (2) der Stufe (1) wird mit einer gewissen Kraft an die Laufschiene (5) gedrückt, so dass sich die Stufe auch im Leerlauf und bei verschmutzter Laufschiene (5) nicht von der Laufschiene (5) abhebt und ein anschliessendes Aufschlagen der Schlepprolle (2) mit der damit verbundenen Geräusch- entwicklung verhindert wird.
