A drive mechanism in which the energy source drives a pump feeding two hydraulic motors (4 and 5) connected in parallel and comprising means for feeding one of the motors or both at the same time and a valve (19), which is normally closed, inserted in the feed circuit of one motor and whose opening is controlled by the pressure of the hydraulic fluid when the latter reaches a predetermined value, the said fluid pushing back a piston subjected to the action of an opposing spring, the cross-section of the said piston (23) being such that the valve remains open even if, on coupling the second motor (5), the pressure in the circuit falls to a value which is less than that which should govern at that moment. A pressure limiter (25) is inserted in the circuit and makes it possible to divert the fluid under pressure to the reservoir (6) when the pressure at the input of the said limiter reaches a value which corresponds to the desired clamping couple. <IMAGE>

Dispositif d'entraînement de l'arbre porte-clef d'une machine à tirefonner dans lequel la source énergétique entraîne une pompe alimentant deux moteurs (4 et 5) hydrauliques montés en dérivation et comportant des moyens pour alimenter l'un des moteurs ou les deux à la fois et une vanne (19), normalement fermée, interposée dans le circuit d'alimentation d'un moteur et dont l'ouverture est commandée par la pression du fluide hydraulique lorsque celle-ci atteint une valeur prédéterminée, ledit fluide repoussant un piston soumis à l'action d'un ressort antagoniste, la section dudit piston (23) étant telle que la vanne reste ouverte même si lors du couplage du second moteur (5) la pression dans le circuit tombe à une valeur inférieure à celle qui devrait régler à cet instant. Un limiteur de pression (25) est interposé dans le circuit et permet de dériver le fluide sous pression vers le réservoir (6) lorsque la pression à l'entrée dudit limiteur atteint une valeur qui correspond au couple de serrage désiré.
