[origin: ES8607833A1] An aluminum alloy suitable as a base for printing plates consists essentially of aluminum containing iron (Fe) and manganese (Mn), the Fe content being 1.2 to 2.1% by weight, the Mn content being 0.1 to 0.9% by weight and the sum of the Fe and Mn contents being 1.3 to 2.2% by weight. A printing plate can be produced with such a base, the base being mechanically, chemically and/or electrochemically roughened and if required, anodically oxidized and hydrophilized. The printing plate includes at least one radiation-sensitive reproduction layer applied on the base.

Das Trägermaterial für Druckplatten besteht aus einer Aluminiumlegierung mit einem Gehalt an Eisen (Fe) und Mangan (Mn), wobei der Fe-Anteil größer als der Mn-Anteil ist; dabei betragen der Fe-Anteil 1, 2, bis 2, 1 Gew.-%, der Mn-Anteil 0, 1 bis 0,9 Gew.-% und die Summe aus dem Feund dem Mn-Anteil 1, 3 bis 2, 2, Gew.-%. Eine Druckplatte ist auf der Basis eines solchen mechanisch, chemisch und/oder elektrochemisch aufgerauhten und gegebenenfalls anodisch oxidierten und hydrophilierten Trägermaterials und mindestens einer auf dem Trägermaterial aufgebrachten strahlungsempfindlichen Reproduktionsschicht aufgebaut.
