[origin: EP0170094A1] 1. A tube as a winding core for extremely thin winding material in filament form, particularly glass fibres with a thickness of a few micrometers, with several mutually glued layers of helically wound strips which are of one single material and contain fibres, characterised in that each strip consists either of felt or of plastic paper, possibly synthetic paper, chemical fibres being mainly present in the tube as fibres used, and being bound by a synthetic agent.
