Abstract (en)
A brick wall is prestressed by individual tie rods. The wall is built on a concrete foundation (3) in which a short length of tube attached to a plate (1) is embedded. The bricks have central vertical holes and vertical grooves in their end faces. Lengths of tube joined end to end pass through the holes or grooves in the bricks to the full height of the finished wall. A wire is then inserted in the tube and subjected to tension which exerts a required prestressing. The tube is then filled with concrete and forms part of lost shuttering.

A) Verfahren Verfahren für vertikale Einzeldrahtvorspannung von Backstein- und Eisenbetonwänden, gekennzeichnet durch Einschiebung von Einzeldrähten von oben in gleichzeitig mit der Errichtung der Wände etappenweise montierte verlorene Rohre. B) Vorrichtung Autonome Vorrichtung, gekennzeichnet durch automatisches Funktionieren. Der in sie eingeführte Vorspanndraht wird automatisch von der Vorrichtung selbst eingehakt. Für die unter A) angegebenen Ausführungsverfahren kann daher die Vorrichtung, gleichzeitig als Anfangselement dienend, vorteilhaft als fester Einzeldrahtvorspannkopf eingesetzt werden. Die Anwendung dieser Vorrichtung löst auf einfache Art Probleme und erübrigt zeitraubende und aufwendige Arbeitsphasen, welche beide mit dem sonst üblichen, doch nur mit Zugang von aussen her verwendbaren festen Vorspannkopf verbunden wären.
