[origin: EP0170563A1] 1. Method of protecting metal cables prestressed under tension and housed inside a sheath by injecting a protective material into the interior of the sheath, characterized in that teh protective material which comprises at least one microcrystalline petroleum wax is injected at a temperature which is above its melting temperature and at a pressure which is comprised between one and three bars and which is preferably between 1.8 and 2.2 bars.
