Turnstile for controlling the access to a specific place such as a store, exhibition room, etc ... constituted by a series of horizontal arms radiating from a hollow hub rotatably mounted on a stationary core carried by a post and provided with locking rollers which permit rotation of this hub only in one direction, these rollers being placed within recesses at the periphery of this core as is the case with each of the resilient members which produce action on a roller of this type, characterized in that the locking rollers (12) are provided with journals (13) at the ends thereof and the resilient members which produce action on these locking rollers consist of small rods (15) of plastic material and that the journals (13) of the locking rollers as well as the ends of the small elastic rods (15) are slidably mounted within guide grooves (14) provided in the opposite faces of two retaining disks (7 and 8) detachably mounted on each side of the stationary core (4).
