Abstract (en)

1. Exhaust gas ducting (13) destined for motor vehicle engines, particularly exhaust gas manifold ducting with several pipe connections leading to the outlet openings (11, 12) of the cylinder head, in which the exhaust gas flows through a heat-insulating duct made of sintered ceramic material (14, 15) onto which is cast a metallic jacket (16, 17) having a flange for securing the ducting to the cylinder head or a duct for further conveying the gas, characterised in that the ceramic duct (14, 15) has a break at at least one section (23), in that the metal jacket (16, 17) is cast on the duct so as to leave the section (23) free, and in that the break is bridged over by means of a flexible metallic intermediate piece (24) connecting the sections of the ducting or the adjacent metallic jacket sections.

Es wird eine für Kraftfahrzeugmotoren bestimmte Abgasleitung, insbesondere Abgassammelleitung mit mehreren zu den Auslaßöffnungen des Zylinderkopfes führenden Anschlußstutzen, beschrieben, bei der das Abgas eine wärmeisolierende Leitung aus gesintertem keramischem Material durchströmt, wobei die Leitung wenigstens einen in Axialrichtung flexibel ausgebildeten Abschnitt aufweist oder innerhalb eines Metallmantels elastisch gelagert ist, um das keramische Material vor Spannungen zu bewahren.
