Ski boot (1) comprising a rear portion which is adapted to be flexed or swung down to permit the skier to step into the boot from the rear, a plastic base shell (2) and a shank part (3) articulated in relation to the base shell (2), characterised in that the articulated shank part (3) has a tongue (5) extending in circumferential direction of the shank part (3), being tightenable rearwardly to the rear portion and arranged in an area (17) of the shank part (3) overlapping its exterior side, said area (17) extending transversely to the longitudinal center plane of the boot (1) and facing the toe portion of the boot, and that the tongue (5) is arranged to be tightened against the shank part (3) with its free end portion (10) at different height levels.
