[origin: WO8503953A1] The high temperature resistant molybdenum alloy containing, in addition to the molybdenum, between 0.3 % and 20 % by weight of silicon, has an excellent resistance to creep, thereby enabling to use said alloy in the fabrication of massive bar- or plate- shaped objects, as well as containers, shims and supports intended to be used at temperatures comprised between 1300<o> C and 2000<o> C. Excellent corrosion resistance qualities in contact with melting ceramic or glass enable to use such an alloy for making electrodes and other construction parts in melting furnaces for glass and ceramic.
