Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0172926A1] 1. Actuating attachment for electrical control and indicating devices, in particular emergency switches, with a locking device for the operating position, in which case a slide (26) is arranged to slide by means of a push button (16) in the device housing (9), the slide (26) also being surrounded by a slide part (36), in which opposing locking pins (39, 40) which are under spring pressure are held in transverse bores (37, 38), each locking pin (39, 40) co-operating with two locking points (50, 51, 52, 53) located in the sliding direction at a distance apart on both sides of a projection (54, 55) respectively and the projection on the side corresponding to the inoperative position comprising an inclined surface (56, 57), an outer compression spring (31) being located between the push button and the end face of the housing (9) and an inner compression spring (32) being located between the push button and the sliding member (36) and the push button (16) being connected to the slide (26), in which case furthermore the second locking points (52, 53) are constructed to correspond to the operating position so that unlocking only takes place by rotating the push button (16), about its longitudinal axis, characterised in that the sliding member is constructed as a cylindrical sleeve (36), which is seated in a sliding manner on the part of the slide (26) likewise constructed cylindrically, that the slide (26) comprises opposing, flattened guide surfaces (43, 44) on the periphery and the inner surface of the sleeve (36)with corresponding flat portions is adapted to the slide part, that the slide (26) comprises an opening (42) enlarged in the sliding direction, that the bores (37, 38) for receiving the locking pins (39, 40) in the sleeve (36) are constructed continuously and the locking pins (39, 40) constructed as hollow pins with outer ends rounded-off in the form of a hemisphere are so long that they project partly into the enlarged opening (42) of the slide (26) and are guided to move therein, that solely two hollow pins (39, 40) are provided, in which a single compression spring (41) engages by its ends, that the second locking points (52, 53, 67, 68) have a part of crescent-shaped cross-section, so that on rotating the push button (16), the hollow pins (39, 40) are pushed back continuously from the locking point into the bores (37, 38) of the sleeve (36) and the opening (42) of the slide (26) and that adjoining the end of the sleeve (36) remote from the push button (16) is an actuating member (58) able to move in the sliding direction, which is limited in its stroke by stops (62, 63, 64, 65).
