1. A window pane for motor vehicles with a rail (3, 3'), especially of metal, attached thereto, which rail has a U-shaped cross-sectional region (4), provided with spacer elements, to receive the rim of the window pane (1) with the interposition of adhesive material, characterized in that, between the U-shaped cross-sectional region (4) and the rim (2) of the window pane (1), at least two separate plastics retaining strips (5, 5') are provided, which are spaced at a distance from each other along the rim (2) and rest on both sides against the window pane (1), and in the remaining intermediate space (4) a hardened elastic bonding material is provided.

Die Fensterscheibe (1) ist mit ihrem Rand (2) in den U-förmigen Querschnittsbereich (4) einer metallenen Schiene (3) eingesetzt. in dem U-förmigen Querschnittsbereich (4) sind Haltestreifen (5) eingesetzt, die die Fensterscheibe (1) relativ zur Schiene (3) positionieren und in Abstand halten. Der übrige Zwischenraum (8) zwischen der Fensterscheibe (1) und dem U-förmigen Querschnittsbereich (4) der Schiene (3) ist mit einem aushärtenden Kleber ausgefüllt.
