Abstract (en)

[origin: JPS6155427A] PURPOSE:To obtain a vibration isolating effect over a wide range by partitioning the liquid chamber of an elastic, hollow molded body into small liquid chambers via an orifice and a valve mechanism and opening or closing the valve mechanism in response to vibration frequencies to communicate or cut off the small liquid chambers. CONSTITUTION:When a car engine fitted to a top plate 22 is vibrated, a rubber 20 absorbs vibrations. As the pressure is increased due to the vibration, if the liquid in an upper liquid chamber 28A flows into a lower liquid chambers 28B through an orifice 44, for example, vibrations are absorbed by the viscosity resistance of the liquid. On the other hand, if the frequency of the vibration is increased, a drive shaft 40 is withdrawn by an air cylinder 42, a valve body 38 is separated from a round hole 34, and the upper liquid chamber 28A and the lower liquid chamber 28B are communicated to each other via round holes 34, 36. Accordingly, the liquid near the round holes 34, 36 is liquid column-resonated, and vibrations are damped.
