[origin: EP0173359A2] The coupling member (1) is intended for securing the carrier members (4) of a suspended ceiling. It comprises two downwardly extending portions (2,3) connected at their upper ends via a horizontal portion (5), with a central upwardly extending U-section portion (6) provided with vertically spaced bores for securing to a hanger. The underside of the horizontal portion (5) is provided with lips (10) near its ends capable of engaging the upper ends (11) of the members such that these members are located to prevent their rotational movement due to off-centre load (P). Further faces (14,15;16,17) may be provided for locating the sides (19) of the cable ducts (20).
