Abstract (en)
The present invention provides a method of inhibiting the corrosion of non-ferrous metals in contact with an aqueous system, which comprises adding to the aqueous system a sufficient amount for the purpose of a water soluble compound having the formula: <CHEM> wherein R is a hydrocarbon group containing from 3 to about 8 carbon atoms. There may also be present a corrosion inhibitor composition for any ferrous metal present in contact with the aqueous composition.
