Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0173673A2] The brick consists of two portions of different density, namely a portion (1) of higher density and a portion (2) of lower density. Both portions (1, 2) preferably have the same material composition and are made, for example, of concrete. The division (3) between the two portions (1, 2) runs substantially parallel to the plane of the brickwork. In the construction of brickwork rising through all storeys using the brick, the portion (1) of higher density is arranged internally and forms a storage part which stores the heat and guarantees the necessary sound insulation. The portion (2) of lower density, which provides the heat insulation, possesses chambers (7) which extend partly in the form of a circular arc, the circular arcs having a common centre. <IMAGE>
