According to the method, a disinfectant is added to the stream of air passing through vacuum cleaners and to industrial suction cleaners to kill the bacteria and germs taken in and produced during the suction. Nach dem erfindungsgemässen Verfahren wird dem Luftstrom durch Staubsauger und industriellen Absaugungen ein Desinfektionsmittel beigefügt, das angesaugte und in der Absugung entstandene Bakterien und Keime abtötet. Der Desinefektionskörper zur Desinfektion der Abluft ist in einem Festkörper (12) gebunden und wird in den Luftstrom der Absaugung eingelegt.
