Axial fan with an impeller which comprises a plurality of blades on a drivable hub, each individual blade having the same predetermined blade geometry for air delivery. Such fans generally give rise to noises which can be distracting, annoying or even injurious to health. The object is therefore to minimise the emission of noise. This is achieved according to the invention by the fact that the individual blades (S1 to S7) are curved towards the front in the direction of running. Compared to conventional fans, specific deviations are obtained along a circular-arc geometry, depending on the distance from the hub. The new surface for the blades can be described in a cartesian coordinate system by a function of the fifth degree. 36 specific constants are obtained.

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Axialventilator mit einem Laufrad, das aus einer Mehrzahl von Schaufeln auf einer antreibbaren Nabe besteht, wobei jede einzelne Schaufel zur Luftförderung die gleiche, vorgegebene Schaufelgeometrie aufweist. Solche Ventilatoren verursachen üblicherweise Geräusche, die störend, lästig oder sogar gesundheitsschädigend sein können. Ziel ist es daher, die Geräuschemission zu minimieren. Gemaß der Erfindung wird dies dadurch erreicht, daß die einzelnen Schaufeln (S1 bis S7) in Laufrichtung nach vorn gekrümmt sind. Gegenüber den herkömmlichen Ventilatoren ergeben sich in Abhängigkeit vom Nabenabstand spezifische Abweichungen längs einer Kreisbogengeometrie. Die neue Fläche für die Schaufeln läßt sich in einem kartesischen Koordinatensystem durch eine Funktion fünften Grades beschreiben. Dabei ergeben sich 36 spezifische Konstanten.
