Abstract (en)
The container comprises a tubular shell (1) made of plastic, which is closed all around, one end of which is closed off by a bottom (13) and the other end (6) of which is closed off by a detachable lid (7). The shell (1) is lined at least partially with foam, the inside diameter of the lining (11) in the area of the cartridge case (8) corresponding essentially to the outside diameter of the cartridge case (8). On the bottom (13) of the shell (1) there is a rigid supporting tube (12), enclosing the ammunition (10) and of a length exceeding the length of the ammunition (10). The shell (1) has, at least over part of its length, an angular, in particular essentially square, cross-section, there being elevations (4) and/or depressions (5) arranged on the flat sides (3) of the shell (1) and the outer shape of the elevations (4) preferably corresponding to the inner shape of the depressions (5). The bottom (13) and the lid (7), which can be screwed into the open end (6) of the shell (1) with a sealing ring (19) placed inbetween, have ribs (26) and gripping rims (25; 15, 16). In a process for producing such a container, use is preferably made of spent cartridge cases (8) as the moulding core for the expanding of the lining (11) of the plastic shell (1). <IMAGE>

Ein Lager- und Transportbehälter für Granaten bzw. Patronen besteht aus einer rohrartigen, rundum geschlossenen Schale (1) aus Kunststoff, deren eines Ende durch einen Boden (13) und deren anderes Ende (6) durch einen lösbaren Deckel (7) abgeschlossen ist. Die Schale (1) ist zumindest teilweise mit Schaumstoff ausgekleidet, wobei der Innendurchmesser der Auskleidung (11) im Bereich der Hülse (8) im wesentlichen dem Außendurchmesser der Hülse (8) entspricht. Am Boden (13) der Schale (1) befindet sich ein das Geschoß (10) umgreifendes steifes Stützrohr (12), dessen Länge die Länge des Geschosses (10) übersteigt. Die Schale (1) weist zumindest über einen Teil ihrer Länge einen eckigen, insbesondere im wesentlichen quadratischen, Querschnitt auf, wobei an den Flachseiten (3) der Schale (1) Erhebungen (4) und/oder Eindellungen (5) angeordnet sind und die Außenform der Erhebungen (4) vorzugsweise der Innenform der Eindellungen (5) entspricht. Der Boden (13) und der Deckel (7), der unter Zwischenschaltung eines Dichtungsringes (19) in das offene Ende (6) der Schale (1) einschraubbar ist, weisen Rippen (26) und Griffränder (25; 15, 16) auf. In einem Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Lager- und Transportbehälters für Granaten bzw. Patronen werden bevorzugt ausgeschossene Hülsen (8) als Formkern für das Ausschäumen der Auskleidung (11) der Kunststoffschale (1) verwendet.
