[origin: WO8504223A1] A roll support spindle comprising a hollow tubular axle (1) having a number of apertures in the circumferential wall thereof filled by an annular elastomeric membrane. The interior of the axle is sealed by end plugs (2) and (3) and adapted to be pressurized by air injected through a valve (9) causing the annular membrane extending between the end plugs to bulge outwardly (11) through the apertures to centralize and lock a roll core (10) on the spindle.

Arbre porteur à rouleau comportant un axe tubulaire creux (1) doté d'un certain nombre d'ouvertures dans sa paroi périphérique remplies par une membrane élastomère annulaire. L'intérieur de l'axe est scellé par des bouchons terminaux (2) et (3) et est conçu pour être mis sous pression par l'air injecté par une vanne (9), ce qui provoque le gonflement vers l'extérieur (11) de la membrane annulaire s'étendant entre les bouchons terminaux par les ouvertures afin de centrer et de bloquer le coeur d'un rouleau (10) sur l'arbre.
