[origin: EP0175175A2] In a sheet feeder, in particular for automatic bank-note dispensers, a container (2) is provided for receiving the bundle (16) of bank-notes. The bundle (16) is pressed by a pressure slide (32) against draw-off rollers (28) which engage through a wall (10) of the container (2) into the latter and can remove the front bank-note. The pressure of the bundle (16) against the draw-off rollers (28) is measured; the measured value serves as an actuating variable for controlling a drive motor (36) for the pressure slide (32). <IMAGE>
