[origin: EP0175230A2] The inking unit has a ductor cylinder (2), interacting with an ink blade (1), and an ink-taking cylinder (4), which takes ink from said ductor cylinder, and a device for removing particles of dirt accumulating in the region of the gap (6) between the ductor cylinder (2) and the ink blade (1). A reliable removal of the dirt accumulating in the region of the gap (6), without needing to fear ink variations and the like, is achieved due to a spatula (8) which is arranged in the region between the ductor cylinder (2) and the ink blade (1) and can be moved into the gap (6) by means of an associated oscillation device. <IMAGE>
