Abstract (en)
Tandem rolling mill for flat rolling stock in the form of strip with adjustment of the traction by hydraulic clamping. At least one of the stands (2, 3, 4) of the rolling mill comprises at least one clamping device (9) consisting of a cylinder having a fixed support and a tubular envelope in contact with one of the working rolls (6, 7) on one of its generatrices and over its entire length. Jacks (20) arranged radially between the fixed support and the tubular envelope hold the latter while permitting its rotation. The jacks (20) are supplied simultaneously with pressurised oil via a hydraulic circuit controlled by a traction measuring device (11) arranged in the intermediate stand situated just upstream of the stand in question. The invention applies, in particular, to four-high stand cold tandem rolling mills. <IMAGE>

L'invention concerne un laminoir tandem pour produits plats sous forme de bande à réglage de la traction par serrage hydraulique. L'une au moins des cages (2, 3, 4) du laminoir comporte au moins un dispositif de serrage (9) constitué par un cyclindre ayant un support fixe et une enveloppe tubulaire en contact avec l'un des cylindres de travail (6, 7) suivant l'une de ses génératrices et sur toute sa longueur. Des vérins (20) disposés radialement entre le support fixe et l'enveloppe tubulaire maintiennent celle-ci tout en permettant sa rotation. Les vérins (20) sont alimentés simultanément en huile sous pression par un circuit hydraulique commandé par un dispositif de mesure de traction (11) disposé dans l'intercage situé juste en amont de la cage considérée. L'invention s'applique, en particulier, aux laminoirs tandem à froid à cage quarto.
