[origin: WO8504626A1] Device for operating the stop lights whenever the driver slows down without braking. In such a case the stop lights (5) are powered by a second circuit (10) which is controlled by a sensor (11). Said sensor can be of the depression type and connected to the air suction manifold of the engine. The stop lights are turned on with two different intensities according to whether the driver is braking or only slowing down. On the other hand, the device controls the closing of the alternator excitation circuit (19) so as to save petrol by charging the battery only when it is indispensable or when slowing down. Said device may also be used for controllling the braking of a trailer.

Dispositif pour allumer les feux avertisseurs de freinage lorsque le conducteur opère un ralentissement sans faire usage des freins. Dans ce cas, les feux avertisseurs (5) sont alimentés par un second circuit (10) qui est commandé par un capteur (11). Ce capteur peut être du type à dépression, raccordé à une tubulaire d'aspiration d'air du moteur. Les feux avertisseurs s'allument avec deux intensités différentes pour le cas d'un freinage ou celui d'un simple ralentissement. D'autre part, le dispositif commande la fermeture du circuit d'excitation de l'alternateur (19) de manière à économiser du carburant en ne chargeant la batterie que lorsque c'est indispensable ou pendant les ralentissements. Le dispositif est également utilisable pour commander le freinage d'une remorque.
