[origin: EP0250003A1] The invention discloses a machine for dispensing carbonated liquid into a cup to provide a beverage. The carbonated liquid is dispensed from a tank to an outlet through a passage which comprises a section of curved elongated form (235) and having a progressively increasing cross section so that there will be a smooth reduction in carbonation between the tank and the outlet to avoid excessive foaming of the beverage as it issues from the outlet.
