[origin: WO8504634A1] Individual salvage device designed to be worn around the waist of a person. Said device comprises a floppy pocket (3b, 3c) which can be controllably inflated with a pressurized gas in order to provide a floatability volume. The pressurized gas is contained in a sealed hollow conduit (1) adapted for acting as a belt, said conduit being provided with a section capable of withstanding the gas pressure. Fastening members (18) are associated with the inflatable pocket to place it either in a folded-back position against the hollow conduit (1) or in a position spaced apart from the hollow conduit, so as to form a loop passing behind the user's neck.

Dispositif individuel de sauvetage destiné à être disposé autour de la taille d'une personne. Ce dispositif comprend une poche souple (3b, 3c) agencée pour être gonflée à la commande par un gaz sous pression en vue de constituer un volume de flottabilité. Le gaz sous pression est contenu dans un conduit creux étanche (1) adapté pour faire office de ceinture; ce conduit présente une section apte à résister à la pression du gaz; des moyens d'attache (18) sont associés à la poche gonflable pour permettre de la disposer, soit dans une position rabattue contre le conduit creux (1), soit dans une position séparée du conduit creux en vue de former une boucle passant à l'arrière du cou de l'utilisateur.
