1. Catalytic exhaust detoxification device with a honeycomb-structured monolithic ceramic body (3), which has a catalytically active surface coating, located in a metallic external housing (1) with a conical exhaust intake and discharge adaptor (2) on the front face, a thermally insulating spring cushion consisting of a so-called expanded mat (4) being interposed between the external housing (1) and the ceramic body (3), characterized in that a thermally insulating mat (5) which extends almost up to the expanded mat (4) and is covered by a shield sheet (6) which is resistant to high temperatures is positioned on the inner surfaces of the exhaust intake and discharge adaptor (2), the shield sheet being permanently connected on the outside to the adaptor (2) and having on the inside end (8) a sliding seat seal which thermally insulates the region between the expanded mats (4, 5) from the external housing (1).

Katalytische Abgasentgiftungsvorrichtung mit einem in einem metallischen Außengehäuse (1) mit stirnseitigen insbesondere konischen Abgaszu- und -abführstutzen (2) angeordneten porösen, insbesondere wabenartig struckturierten monolitischen Keramikkörper (3) mit einer katalytisch wirksamen Oberflächenbeschichtung, wobei dem Außengehäuse und dem Keramikkörper ein thermisch isolierendes, vorzugsweise aus einer sogenannten Blähmatte bestehendes Federkissen (4) zwischengeordnet ist, wobei auf die Innenflächen der Abgaszu- und -abführstutzen eine thermisch isolierende Matte (5) aufgebracht ist, die von einem hochtemperaturfesten Abschirmblech (6) überdeckt ist.
