The bag has a closed bottom (2) and a top end (4), which is closed on both sides of a filling opening (19), and a closure flap (8) which extends beyond the top end (4) in the region of the filling opening (19) and can be folded over the front side of the bag (1) about a folding line (5) coinciding with the top end (4). There is an application of adhesive on the closure flap (8) on its inside surface and/or on the associated counter-surface on the front side of the bag (1). For secure and dust-tight closure of the bag, in the case of multi-layer bags the outer layer of the closure flap (8) is to have edge strips (36, 37, 38) which project over the inner layer(s) both in the longitudinal direction and in the transverse direction of the bag, or a cover sheet (9) is to be attached on the rear side of the bag (1), which cover sheet is part of the closure flap (8) and has edge strips (10, 11, 12) which project over the inner layer(s) of the closure flap (8) both in the longitudinal direction and in the transverse direction of the bag. Die Erfindung betrifft einen Sack, der einen geschlossenen Boden (2) und ein beidseits einer Füllöffnung (19) geschlossenes Kopfende (4) sowie im Bereich der Füllöffnung (19) eine sich über das Kopfende (4) hinaus erstreckende Verschlußklappe (8) aufweist, die um eine mit dem Kopfende (4) zusammenfallende Faltlinie (5) auf die Vorderseite des Sakkes (1) umschlagbar ist, wobei die Verschlußklappe (8) auf ihrer Innenfläche und/oder die zugeordnete Gegenfläche auf der Vorderseite des Sackes (1) einen Klebstoffauftrag aufweisen. Für einen sicheren und staubdichten Verschluß des Sackes soll bei mehrlagigen Säcken die aüßere Lage der Verschlußklappe (8) sowohl in Sacklängsrichtung als auch in Sackquerrichtung über die innere(n) Lage(n) vorstehende Randstreifen (36, 37, 38) aufweisen, oder soll auf der Rückseite des Sackes (1) ein Deckblatt (9) befestigt sein, das Teil der Verschlußklappe (8) ist und sowohl in Sacklängsrichtung als auch in Sackquerrichtung über die innere(n) Lage(n) der Verschlußklappe (8) vorstehende Randstreifen (10, 11, 12) aufweist, wobei die sich in Sacklängsrichtung erstreckenden Randstreifen (10, 11, 37, 38) auf ihrer Innenfläche jeweils Klebstoffraupen (13,14; 33, 34) aufweisen, die sich bis über die Faltlinie (5) erstrecken und die mit wenigstens einer weiteren Klebstoffraupe (15, 30) auf dem sich in Sackquerrichtung erstreckenden Randstreifen (12, 36) oder auf der Verschlußklappe (8) zu einer durchgehenden Klebstoffraupe vereinigt sind.
