1. A decorative body consisting of plate-shaped elements, in particular a lighting fixture consisting of glass plates, of which at least two adjacent elements are held together with the aid of a fastening means, said fastening means comprising a plate-shaped supporting member having on its outer rim an annular flange that has a constant height and engages a partial annular groove formed on the rim of the outside of each element, characterized in that the plate-shaped supporting member (5) is oval and has a main axis extending in the longitudinal direction thereof, this main axis extending perpendicular to the gap formed between adjacent edges of the elements, and in that the fastening means (4) has a pressing member (6) cooperating with the supporting member (5) so that the elements are held together by form closure.

Ein Beleuchtungskörper besteht aus einzelnen quadratischen Glasplatten (3), von denen jeweils zwei benachbarte Glasplatten mit Hilfe einer Befestigungsvorrichtung (4) zusammengehalten werden. Die Befestigungsvorrichtung besitzt ein Stützteil (5), welches an einer Außenseite der Glasplatte anliegt, und ein mit Hilfe eines Schraubenbolzens (9) mit dem Stützteil gekoppeltes Andrückteil (6), welches mit Hilfe einer Schraube (8) gegen die andere Seite der Glasplatte gedrückt wird. Das Stützteil ist ein ovales Plättchen mit einem am Außenrand des Plättchens befindlichen Ringflansch (15). Der Ringflansch greift in halbkreisförmige Teilringnuten (17) im Randbereich der einen Seite der Glasplatten ein, so daß die Platten formschlüssig gehalten werden.
