1. Machine for grinding spectacle lenses, of the type comprising a circular grinder, a carrier displaceable about an axis and carrying means for fixing the lens on an axis of rotation parallel to that of the grinder, and a pick-up for controlling the rotational driving of the lens, characterised in that said pick-up (6) is fixed on an elongate member (1) which is mounted for oscillatory and sliding movement at one end on the axis (M) of the grinder (8) on the one hand, and which has its other end surrounding, without play, the axis of rotation (O) of the lens (A) on the other hand.

Cette machine, du type comportant une meule circulaire, un chariot se déplaçant autour d'un axe et portant des moyens de fixation du verre sur un axe de rotation parallèle à celui de la meule et un capteur de pilotage de l'entraînement en rotation du verre, est caractérisée en ce que ledit capteur est fixé sur un organe (1) monté oscillant et coulissant sur l'axe M de la meule (8), d'une part, et solidaire de l'axe de rotation O du verre A d'autre part, ledit organe (1), de forme allongée, comporte à une extrémité un oeil (2) dans lequel tourne librement un prolongement (3) de l'axe de rotation O du verre et à son extrémité opposée une fente longitudinale (4) à travers laquelle s'étend un prolongement (5) de l'axe de la meule (8), et le centre dudit oeil (2) étant situé sur le prolongement de l'axe de la fente (4).
