[origin: US4690068A] The invention relates to an inter-carriage passage for a railway carriage set comprising an intermediate bodywork member having a generally annular shape connecting the adjoining ends of two carriages. In accordance with the invention, the intermediate bodywork member is connected to the two adjoining carriage ends so as to be maintained in a radial position; this intermediate member is positioned on each carriage end by means of deformable pneumatic joints. The invention is especially applicable to metro (rapid transit) trains with short carriages and radial axles.

L'invention concerne un dispositif d'intercirculation entre deux modules de rame ferroviaire comportant un élément de carrosserie intermédiaire (1) ayant la forme générale d'un anneau et reliant deux extrémités de caisses (2, 3). Selon l'invention, l'élément de carrosserie intermédiaire (1) est lié aux deux extrémités de caisses (2, 3) qu'il relie, de manière à être maintenu en position radiale; cet élément intermédiaire (1) est positionné sur chacune des extrémités de caisses (2, 3) au moyen de joints pneumatiques déformables (4, 5). Application en particulier aux rames de métropolitains à caisses courtes et à essieux radiaux.
