The cigarettes are transported to a packing machine with cyclical delivery of the cigarettes, particularly in pallets (11), by a cigarette transfer device which consists of an intermediate container (13) having a plurality of conveyors driven at increasing speed in the conveying direction, specifically a receiving conveyor (22), an intermediate conveyor (24) and an exit conveyor (23). A continuous stream (26) of cigarettes is formed within the intermediate container (13), in which stream reductions in cross-section (valley 39) as a consequence of the interrupted cigarette feed with continuing discharge to the packing machine are compensated by controlled driving of the conveyors. <IMAGE>

Für den Transport der Zigaretten zu einer Verpakkungsmaschine bei taktweiser Anlieferung der Zigaretten, insbesondere in Schragen (11), dient eine Zigarettentransfervorrichtung, die aus einem Zwischenbehälter (13) mit mehreren in Förderrichtung mit zunehmender Geschwindigkeit angetriebenen Förderern, nämlich einem Aufnahmeförderer (22), einem Zwischenförderer (24) und einem Abförderer (23). Innerhalb des Zwischenbehälters (13) wird ein fortlaufender Zigarettenstrom (26) gebildet, in dem Querschnittsminderungen (Tal 39) infolge der unterbrochenen Zigarettenzufuhr bei fortwährender Abgabe an die Verpackungsmaschine durch gesteuerten Antrieb der Förderer kompensiert werden.
